– Ron and Carol Patton, Pennant Hills NSW.Two months ago we discovered that structural timbers under our bathroom had been damaged by white ant activity and leakage of water from our bathroom. As our bathroom, toilet and ensuite were 40 years old, we decided not only to repair the damage but to fully renovate these rooms as well. We employed P. J. Axiak Constructions to do this work for us over a period of six weeks from mid September to the end of October. The work involved the removal of the suspended concrete slabs which formed the floors, the replacement of the damaged structures under the house, the straightening and strengthening of the walls necessitating the jacking up of the end of the house and the rebuilding and renovation of these three rooms. We were very satisfied with the workmanship evident in the building, tiling, plastering, painting, carpentry, electrical work and plumbing. The tradesmen involved worked in cramped conditions, both inside and under the house. They arrived reliably and were completely trustworthy, having access to our house while we were away at work and on holidays. As the site manager, Philip Axiak was diligent in overseeing all aspects of the work and we were particularly impressed with the attention he paid to detail in the finishing of all aspects of the renovations. He took the time to provide advice and answered our many questions as the work progressed. The entire job was well planned and organised and the tradesmen efficiently coordinated. We are very happy with our new rooms, both in appearance and workmanship. We are pleased to recommend Philip Axiak and his team of tradesmen as a professional, competent and reliable team of builders.
